Warranty against defects
We warrant that the goods will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from the date of delivery.
During that period, if the goods are defective, we will at our option repair or replace them, or refund the price you paid. To claim, contact us with your order number and a description of the defect. We will cover the reasonable cost of returning the goods to us for a valid claim.

What it does not cover
- Surface rust and patina. Bare steel is meant to weather, and it will. A changing colour, a rough surface and orange-brown staining on whatever it stands on are the finish behaving normally, not a defect.
- Warping and scale from heat. Steel moves when it is repeatedly taken to fire temperature, and thin scale flakes off the inside of any bowl that gets used.
- Corrosion accelerated by leaving water sitting in the bowl, or by standing it on wet ground over a season.
- Damage from liquid accelerants, from burning treated or painted timber, or from use as an incinerator for rubbish.
- Anything cut, drilled, welded, painted or otherwise modified.
A bowl that cracks, splits a weld, or corrodes through within the warranty period is a defect and is covered. The line is whether the steel has failed or merely aged.
Safe use
These are solid-fuel fires for outdoor use in the open air only. Burning solid fuel in an enclosed or partly enclosed space produces carbon monoxide, which is odourless and can be fatal — never use one indoors, in a garage, in a tent, or on a patio with walls and a roof. Keep it clear of fences, decking, eaves and anything overhanging, and never leave a lit fire unattended.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
